1 6oz can evaporated milk, divided
1 14 oz pkg caramels
1 18 oz pkg German or Swiss Chocolate Cake Mix
3/4 cup melted butter or margarine
1 cup chopped nuts
1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/3 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
In top of double boiler, stir together 1/3 cup milk and caramels.
Cook over hot water, stirring often, until mixture is smooth. Set aside. Stir together cake mixture, butter, remaining evaporated milk and nuts. Press half of dough into bottom of greased and floured 13x9x2 cake pan. Bake 350 for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate pieces on baked dough and top with melted caramel mixture. Crumble remaining dough over top. Return to oven and continue baking 14-18 minutes. Cook and cut into small squares.
