1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1 c. mashed ripe bananas
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar together. Beat in eggs. Add mashed bananas and lemon juice. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and mix quickly into banana mixture. Add nuts. Mix well. Bake in greased loaf pan in 375F oven about 1 1/2 hours.
