Ingredients: Bonnie’s Chili 2lbs of ground beef or chuck browned. 6 cans of tomato soup 1 large can of red kidney beans 1 large can crushed tomatoes 4 -6 stalks of celery chopped 1 large yellow onion chopped 2 packets of chili seasoning Black pepper – season to taste Crush red pepper (optional) - season to taste.

Directions:In a large pot add the ground beef, tomato soup and crushed tomatoes. Mix well. To this add the celery, onion, chili seasoning, pepper and crushed red pepper and stir well. Maintain medium-high heat until mixture just begins to bubble. Make sure to stir constantly during this stage. Reduce heat to low and make sure mixture is at a slight simmer. Simmer for at least 3 hours. The longer the better. A half hour before eating add the kidney beans. |
