2 c. sliced fresh peaches
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar, divided
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F. Sprinkle peaches with 3/4 c. sugar and set aside. Mix flour, remaining sugar, baking powder and salt together. Add milk and mix. Melt butter in a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Pour batter over top of margarine. Add peaches, spreading evenly over batter. Bake 35 minutes or until batter is golden brown. (batter will rise up to cover peaches)
