Dough:
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. shortening
Sauce:
2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter or margarine
2 c. water
1/3 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together ingredients for dough. Peel 6 apples and cut in half. Roll out the dough; cut in squares. Place one apple half on each square. Wet edges of dough and press into a ball around apple. Set dumplings in a pan 9x12. Pour sauce over and bake at 375 F until golden brown.
