3 c. flour 3/4 tsp. salt 1 c. buttermilk 4 Tbsp. shortening 3 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. soda
Sift all dry ingredients; work the shortening into dry ingredients. Add liquid to make a soft dough. Roll out on a slightly floured board to thickness of 1/2 inch. Cut with biscuit cutter. Put on greased sheet pan. Bake @ 425ºF for 15 minutes.
