1/3 Cup Evaporated milk
1 14 oz pkg caramels
1 2-layer pkg German chocolate cake mix
1/3 cup evaporated milk
3/4 cup butter
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Combine 1/3 cup evaporated milk and caramels in microwave- safe bowl. Microwave for 3 min or until caramels are melted, stirring several times.
Combine cake mix, 1/3 cup evap. milk and butter in bowl; mix well with pastry blender. Spread half the chocolate mixture into greased 9x13 baking dish. Bake at 350 for 6 min.
Layer nuts, chocolate chips, and caramel mixture over baked layer. Spoon remaining chocolate mixture over top. Bake @ 350 for 15-20 min.
