1 cup sugar
3 T all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
5 cups fresh or frozen blackberries

1 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
3 T butter or margarine
1 beaten egg
3 T milk

Directions:
Directions:
For fruit filling, combine sugar, flour and cinnamon in large sauce pan. Stir in berries.(If using frozen berries, let stand 20 minutes before cooking). Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Keep filling hot.
For topping, combine flour, sugar and baking powder. Cut in butter until crumbly. Combine egg and milk. Add to flour mixture: stir to moisten. Pour filling into greased 8X8 inch baking dish. Drop topping into 6 mounds atop hot filling. Sprinkle with additional sugar, if desired. Bake in a 400 oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
