CHICKEN PUFFS




2/3 cup crushed croutons
cup finely chopped pecans
4 tablespoons butter, softened
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 cups cooked chicken, chopped fine
1 can water chestnuts, chopped
2 cans Pillsbury crescent rolls
5 tablespoons melted butter
6 ounces cream cheese, softened







Directions:

Combine cream cheese, 4 tablespoon butter and lemon juice. Beat until smooth. Stir in chicken and water chestnuts. Separate crescent rolls into triangles , place 2 tablespoons of chicken mixture on each triangle. Fold crescent roll around chicken mixture. Tuck sides to seal. Dip in melted butter and roll in crumbs an pecans that have been mixed together. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375 for 20 minutes or until brown. Can be prepared and frozen. Thaw before baking.
