2 1/4 cups white sugar
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp.. baking powder
1 tsp.. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Jar Ingredients--
Use a funnel to pour sugar into a clean and dry one quart jar. Press down firmly. Add cocoa powder, flour,baking powder, and salt. Jar will be very full. Put on lid and band.
Baking Instructions--
Preheat oven to 350. Into a large bowl add 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) soft butter or margarine. Add 4 slightly beaten eggs. Combine thoroughly with an electric mixer. Empty jar mixture into the bowl. Combine until completely blended. Stir in 1/2 cup nuts if desired. Spread batter into a lightly greased or sprayed 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 for about 25-30 minutes or until done. Cool and cut into bars.
