2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
2/3 cup butter of margarine
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips
1/3 cup chopped nuts(optional)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix flour, soda, baking powder and salt.

2. Melt butter in saucepan; add sugar.

3. Blend in eggs and vanilla.

4. Add flour mixture gradually, mixing well.

5. Spread in 9"x13" pan.

6. Sprinkle with chips and nuts.

7. Bake at 350 for 30 min. Let cool and cut.
