1/2 cup soft butter or margarine 1-1/2 cups dark brown sugar (packed) 1 cup coarsely 1 egg 1-1/2 cups sifted flour 1 tsp vanilla 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts
Mix together butter, sugar, and egg until creamy; add rest of ingredients and blend well. Refrigerate dough for 1 hour. Heat oven to 375º. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Place on greased cookie sheet about 3 inches apart. Using bottom of tumbler covered with damp towels, flatten balls to 1/8 inch thickness. Bake at 375º about 12 mins.
