3/4 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 well beaten eggs
1/2 cup molasses
2 teaspoons cider vinegar
3-3/4 cups flour
1-1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter with sugar and stir in eggs, molasses, and vinegar and stir until well blended. Add flour, soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves. Mix all together until well blended. Form into 3/4 inch balls. Place about 2 inches apart as the ball melts down during the baking and develops the characteristic crinkled surface. Bake at 325 for 12 minutes.
