1 lb. red beans 2 onions 2 cloves garlic 2 bay leaves 2 hot peppers (your choice) 2 tsp. salt 2 ham hocks 10 c. water cooked rice
Soak beans overnight in water, about 2 inches above the beans. Drain and put all ingredients except rice in a large pot with the 10 cups of water; bring to a boil and reduce heat to simmer. Simmer for 3 to 4 hours. Serve over rice.
