1 cube butter
3 cups milk
5 tablespoons flour
3 teaspoons salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 large onion, minced
7 cups finely sliced potatoes

Directions:
Directions:
Melt the butter on low heat and slowly work in flour salt and pepper. Add milk slowly stirring constantly and thickened and smooth. Place one third of potatoes in large greased casserole and spread half of the onions over potatoes, pour about one cup of cream sauce over this layer;repeat layer and sauce and end with potato layer. Pour remaining cream sauce over top layer of potatoes. Bake in 350 oven covered, for about 30 minutes. Remove lid and continue cooking for another 30 minutes or until potatoes are cooked.
