"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Directions:
Combine cream cheese and sour cream, blending until smooth. Add dried beef, onion and seasonings. Spoon into an 8x8 baking dish or something similar. Set aside.

Melt butter in pan; add pecans and bake at 300 for 20 minutes. Sprinkle salt over nuts and let cool. Press nuts on top of cream cheese mixture and bake again at 350 for 30 minutes. Serve warm with melba toast or crackers (I like wheat thins!)
