1 1/2 LB. CHUCK BEEF CUBED
1 MED. ONION PEELED AND CHUNKED
1/2 C. VEG. OIL
6 MED. POTATOES BITE SIZE PIECES
1 BAG PEELED CARROTS
1 SM. TURNIP BITE SIZE PIECES
1/4 C. WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE
1/4 C. HEINZ KETCHUP
WATER TO COVER
SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE
FROZEN PEAS (OPTIONAL)

PUT FLOUR IN BAG AND ADD MEAT . SHAKE TO COAT. PUT OIL IN LARGE POT AND WHEN HOT, ADD MEAT TO BROWN. ADD ALL THE REST OF INGREDIENTS EXCEPT PEAS . COVER SLIGHTLY AND COOK MEDIUM HEAT FOR ABOUT 1 AND 1/2 HOURS. THE JUICE CAN BE THICKENED WITH 4 TBLS. OF FLOUR TO MAKE A GRAVY AFTER REMOVAL OF VEGETABLES, IF DESIRED. BEFORE SERVING, ADD PEAS.
