Ingredients:  
1 frying chicken - cut in pieces
1 clove garlic
1 medium onion - chopped
1 tbsp.parsley - chopped
2 tbsp. flour
salt & pepper
3 tbsp. butter or margarine
4 slices bacon - diced
1/4 lb. mushrooms
1 bay leaf
1 carrot - cut in circles
pinch of thyme
1 cup red or white wine

Directions:
Directions:
Lightly brown bacon in butter, add onions, garlic and carrot. Saute until soft. Lift out and brown chicken. Sprinkle with the flour, seasoning, and herbs. Return vegetables and add wine. Cover and cook over low heat until chicken is tender. Add mushrooms and simmer 5 more minutes.

3/4 cup water and 1/4 cup lemon juice can be used instead of wine.
