One egg for each person serving
1/2 cup of milk for each person serving
a splash of vanilla flavoring
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat a frying pan. Butter one side of bread and set aside. Whip all the ingredients together in a bowl. Dip buttered bread in batter and place buttered side down in frying pan. Sprinkle cinnamon on unbuttered side of bread. Serve with warmed maple syrup. Bacon and sausage makes a good side dish.

Tim would drive from Maine to Connecticut on a motorcycle (even in November). When he would arrive, I'd warm him up with a kiss, a hug and a tall order of french toast. I traditionally make this for breakfast Christmas mornings and made it for the girls when they went off to college.
