12 oz dried navy or black beans
1 onion quartered
12 oz beer

Sauce:
16 oz tomato sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon basil
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoons lemon juice
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon mustard
1/2 cup Molasses (more or less to taste)

Directions:
Directions:
Soak beans in 1 quart of water for 12 hours or overnight in a 3 quart saucepan. Drain. Combine beans, onion, and beer with 4 cups of water and simmer in sauce pan for 2 1/2 hours. Drain beans. Preheat oven to 350. Combine all the ingredients for the sauce and stir into beans. Bake for 15-20 minutes uncovered.
