Wash beans, cut off ends and snap in half. Add all beans to large pot of water. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to medium. Boil on medium to low until beans are tender. Be sure not to let water boil out as beans will scorch.
When tender, remove beans from heat and add a few pats of butter and salt to taste.
