1 ½ cup scalded milk
2 package yeast
½ cup warm water
½ cup sugar
1/3 cup shortening or butter
2 beaten eggs
1 teaspoon salt
4 ½ to 5 cups flour
1 cup room temperate mashed potatoes

1 pound powder sugar
1 Tablespoon corn starch
1 Tablespoon butter
1 Tablespoon milk
Combine above and add enough warm water to make liquid. (about ½ cup water)

Prepare 1 cup mashed potatoes, place in large mixing bowl and add butter, eggs sugar and milk. Cool till luke warm. Dissolve yeast in water and add to above with salt and flour. Let rise- work down –let rise roll our-cut-let rise-fry in lard. Dip in glaze.
