2 c. flour 4 tsp. baking powder 3 T. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 1/2 c. butter 3/4 c. milk
Mix dry ingredients. Cut in butter until the size of peas. Mix in milk but stir just until blended. Form into a ball and pat out on floured board. Cut into 2 1/2 inch biscuits. Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake for 8 minutes at 450º.
