1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. coconut
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. oatmeal
2 c. Rice Krispies

Cream shortening with brown and white sugar; add eggs and vanilla and cream well. Sift flour with soda, salt and baking powder. Combine oatmeal, Rice Krispies and coconut. Fold dry ingredients into creamed mixture. Mix well. Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes. do not overbake.
