6 loin pork chops (1/2" thick)
1 16 oz can sauerkraut, undrained
1 c applesauce
1/4 c onion, finely chopped
2 T brown sugar
1 tsp caraway seed
1/4 - 1/2 c dry white wine

Directions:
Directions:
Trim the excess fat from the chops and brown chops slowly on both sides. Combine the remaining ingredients and pour over the chops, adjusting the amount of wine to taste. Season with salt and freshly ground pepper. Cover and simmer until chops are tender.

I often omit the caraway seed and wine and still enjoy the dish. It's sort of sweet and sour like.
