1 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. sour milk
3 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. broken pecans
2 c. cut cherries
1 c. cut dates
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together shortening, brown sugar, and eggs. Stir in sour milk. Sift together and stir in flour, soda and salt. Mix in pecans, cherries and dates.

Refrigerate dough overnight. Drop by teaspoon and bake at 375 on the top shelf of the oven.
