3 to 4 lb. boneless chuck roast
1 can French onion soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 small bag carrots
1 1/2 lb. new small potatoes
1/4 c. celery
1/4 c. Crisco
flour
salt
pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Melt Crisco; roll roast in seasoned flour and brown on both sides, then remove extra grease. Put in baking pan (covered) or in roaster. Open soups and pour around roast. Cook in 350 degree oven for about 2 hours. Then add vegetables; stir and let cook until done. Uncover and sprinkle a little salt and pepper on vegetables. Cook 15 minutes more.
