5 lb. fresh beef brisket 16 oz. tomato sauce 1 small onion 2 T. butter 2 T. Worcestershire sauce 2 T. wine vinegar 1/2 tsp. thyme 1/4 c. brown sugar salt and pepper to taste
Simmer beef for 2 1/2 hours in water. Remove to baking dish. Add all other ingredients together. Bring to a boil; pour over meat. Bake 20 minutes at 350º. Baste 2 times during baking. Slice thin and serve with sauce.
