1 lb unsalted butter, covered and let sit out and softened
1 cup sugar
4 cups four that is sifted

Directions:
Directions:
Knead together all the ingredients. Add ingredients to two 8-by 8 inch pans. Pat down, until even. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes, when shortbread is lightly brown. Cut into small squares. Store in air tight container.
