8 pints Asparagus Spears (about 4 lbs.), 6 cups Water, 6 cups White Vinegar, 6 T. Salt, 2 tsp. Pickling Spices, 1 clove Garlic

Directions:
Directions:
Wash asparagus well in cool water. Cut into jar-length spears. Combine water, vinegar, salt and pickling spices.(tied into a clean, thin white cheese cloth) Heat to boiling. Remove bag containing spices. Pack asparagus into pint jars. Put 1 clove garlic in each jar. Cover with brine leave 1/2 inch head space in jar. Put on jar lids. Process in boiling water for 10 minutes.
