1 1/2 c. Crisco
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. Buttermilk
1 tbsp. HOT water
1 tbsp. lemon extract

Glaze:

1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. water
Juice of 1 lemon

Preheat oven to 350
Cream Crisco and sugar together. Add eggs one at a time. Blend flour, salt and Buttermilk together. Add hot water and lemon extract. Pour into a greased Bundt pan. Bake for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes and then remove from bundt pan.

Glaze:
In a saucepan bring sugar, water and lemon to a boil. Let boil for one minute while stirring. Spoon over cake while cake is still warm.
