2-3 large onions 1 c. sifted flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. sugar 3/4 c. milk 1 egg 2 T. melted fat
Peel onions; slice into 1/4" slices. Separate into rings. Sift dry ingredients. Add remaining ingredients. Beat until smooth. Dip onion rings into batter and deep fry at 375º until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper; sprinkle with additional salt.
