4 c. sugar
dash of salt
1/2 gal. cream
2 c. milk
3 T. pure vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs, sugar and salt together. Add remaining ingredients and beat well in ice cream maker. (Makes 6 qts.)

My sister, Dot, sent this recipe to me. It was one of my mother's (Marie). We still make ice cream the old fashioned way. The grand kids love turning the handle.
