2 c. water
1 1/2 c, sugar
1 1/2 c. fresh lemon juice (8 large lemons)
2 1/2 c. cold water
Ice cubes

Directions:
Directions:
In saucepan, bring sugar and 2 cups of water to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Boil, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Stir in lemon juice. Remove from heat, cover, and let stand 30 minutes. Transfer to 2-qt. pitcher; stir in remaining water. Cover with plastic wrap and chill 2 hours or overnight. To serve, fill pitcher with ice cubes. Makes about 1 1/2 quarts.
