1 lb ground beef 1 tsp salt 1/8 tsp pepper 2 T butter 1/2 lb sliced mushrooms 1 medium minced onion 1/4 cup flour 2 cups beef broth
STEAK: Combine beef, salt and pepper. Shape into 2 or 4 flat oval patties. Pan fry until done. MUSHROOM SAUCE: Melt butter in skillet. Add mushrooms and onion. Saute until onions are tender. Mix in flour until well blended. Gradually stir in broth. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until thickened. Season to taste. Cover steaks with mushroom sauce and serve.
