1 8-oz. can water chestnuts, drained and cut into 24 equal pieces
1/4 c. soy sauce
1 T sugar
8 slices bacon, cut into thirds

Directions:
Directions:
In small bowl, combine water chestnut pieces, soy sauce and sugar; mix well. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes to marinate.

Drain away marinade and wrap each water chestnut with bacon; secure with toothpick. Place on broiler pan or on rack in shallow baking pan. Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat for 4 - 7 minutes on each side or until bacon is crisp.
