1/3 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
rind of 1 lemon
juice of 1 lemon
1/3 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except the lemon juice and 1/3 c. sugar. Blend well and pour into a buttered and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 50 - 60 minutes. While the bread is still warm, combine lemon juice and 1/3 cup sugar, pour over the top of the bread.
