1 cup flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2-1/2 tsps baking powder
1 egg
1-1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon oil

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients, add unbeaten egg and 1 cup milk, stir just a little bit--let stand and rise for 5 mins. Pour oil into remaining 1/4 cup milk and add to flour mixture. Stir until just mixed, batter may be lumpy, but that is o.k.
Cook on ungreased griddle
