1/3 c light brown sugar, firmly packed
1 c unsifted all-purpose flour
1/2 c chopped walnuts
1/3 c butter or margarine, melted
1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/4 c sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp milk
1 teas lemon juice
1 teas vanilla extract

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F. Grease an 8" square baking pan. In small bowl, mix first brown sugar, flour and walnuts. Stir in melted butter until well mixed. Reserve 1/3 cup crumbs. Pat remaining gently into pan. Bake 12-15 min. Meanwhile, in small bowl with electric mixer at medium speed, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Beat in remaining ingredients. Pour over crust. Sprinkle on remaining crumbs. Bake 25 min more until set. Cool on wire rack. When cool, cut into 2" squares; cut each square diagonally in half. Makes 32 cookies. Store in refrigerator.
