Ingredients:
One box of white cake mix.
One box of red jello (I usually go with strawberry)
One box of green jello (I use lime)
One tub of cool whip topping.
Two tablespoon of green sprinkles
Two tablespoons of red sprinkles.

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare cake according to directions on the box. Split batter into 2 round cake pans. Cook as directed on the box.
When the cake is completely cool, add one cup of boiling water to red jello and stir until dissolved. Repeat the process for the green jello. With a butter knife poke holes (10-12) into the top of each cake going straight down to the bottom. Pour the red jello over one of the round cakes slowly. Pour the green jello over the other round cake and refrigerate for 5 hours. Carefully remove one cake from cake pan and place one on a large plate or cake serving platter and spread cool whip over. Place the other round cake on top and frost the whole cake with cool whip. Add sprinkles in any pattern you wish to decorate. Keep cake refrigerated.

*This is a Christmas tradition in our house. I learned this recipe from my godmother Verna Daigle and remember loving this cake growing up. I started making it for my kids when they were young and almost every year end up making it for some school function around the holidays.
