1/2 c. Shortening
1-1/2 c. Brown Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 c. Thick Apple Sauce
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Cloves
1-1/2 c. Flour
1 c. Raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar and egg together. Dissolve soda in apple sauce and add to shortening mixture. Sift salt, cinnamon and cloves with the flour and add to the shortening mixture. Add raisins. Mix thoroughly. Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake at 350 50-60 minutes.
