2 c milk
3/4 c sugar
1/4 c corn starch
3 eggs (separated)
2 tbsp butter
3/4 c cocoanut
1 tsp vanilla
6 tbsp sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Filling: Heat milk to very hot. Mix together sugar, corn starch, and a small amount of hot milk. Stir together and mix into remaining milk. Cook until thick. Beat together 3 egg yolk with a fork and add to cooked mixture. Cook 2 more minutes. Add butter, vanilla, and 1/2 cup of cocoanut. Cool slightly and pour into baked pie shell.

Meringue: Beat 3 egg whites until foamy. Slowly beat in 6 tablespoons of sugar until soft peak forms. Add one tsp of vanilla. Put onto pie and sprinkle with remaining cocoanut.

Bake in oven at 325 for 15 minutes.
