1/2 c. Shortening
1/2 c. Butter
2 c. Sugar
2 Eggs
1-1/2 c. Buttermilk
2 tsp. Vanilla
4 c. Flour, sifted
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together shortening, butter, sugar and eggs. Stir in buttermilk and vanilla. Set aside. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Stir into butter mixture. Mix well. Chill dough. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with mixture of 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp. of cinnamon. Bake at 400 for 7-8 minutes. Bake until set but not brown.
