1 Tbsp Butter 2 Tbsp Sugar 1 Cup SR Flour 1 Egg 1/2 cup Milk (approx) 1/2 cup Golden Syrup (more if you like)
Cream Butter and Sugar, add egg and beat well. Add flour and enough milk to make a fairly thin batter. Grease a steamer or basin and add golden syrup before pouring in the mixture. Cover with lid of streamer or brown paper and foil. Steam for 3/4 hour without opening the lid. Serve with warm custard or Ice Cream
