Strawberry mixture:

3 c. fresh (or 2 - 10 oz. pkgs. frozen) strawberries
1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello


Batter:

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. solid shortening
3 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Generously grease the bottom of a 9 x 13" pan. Sprinkle miniature marshmallows over bottom of pan. Set aside.
Mix strawberry mixture. Set aside.
Beat together sugar and shortening. Add eggs, milk and vanilla. Add flour and baking powder. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Pour batter evenly over marshmallows. Spoon strawberry mixture over batter. Bake at 350, 45 minutes.
