2 cans crescent rolls
2 cooking apples (Granny Smith or Fuji), peeled, cored and cut into 8 slices each
2 sticks butter or margarine
1-1/2 c. granulated sugar (can use less if desired)
1 tsp. cinnamon
12 oz. can of regular Mountain Dew soft drink (not sugar free)

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Place 1 apple slice in each triangle of crescent roll. Roll up large end to small end. Place all in greased 9x13 inch baking pan.
3. In small saucepan, melt butter, mix with sugar and cinnamon; pour mixture over dumplings. Pour Mountain Dew over all.
4. Bake uncovered 45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with ice cream if desired.
