1 lb ground beef, browned and drained
2 T butter
4 T chopped onion
1 1/2 ts salt
1/2 ts pepper
1 ts thyme
1/2 marjoram
1 cup finely chopped fresh tomato
2 pie crusts
1 pint (1 1/2 cups) heavy whipping cream
5 large eggs, beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef and drain and set aside. In same pan, melt butter and add remaining 7 ingredients. Cook for 10 minutes on med to med high.
Beat eggs and whipping cream together. Put ground beef and onion-tomato mixture into pie shells. Pour egg mixture over meat mixture. Cook 30 minutes at 375.

Makes two pies. This is my husband Mike's favorite! He can tell when i substitute thyme for marjoram though.
