1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 cup peach syrup
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1/2 tsp. almond extract
dash salt
1/2 tsp. grated orange peel
4 cups drained sliced peaches

Directions:
Directions:
Make paste of cornstarch and small amount of peach syrup. Add remaining peach syrup and cook over low heat stirring constantly, until it thickens. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice, butter, almond extract and salt grated orange peel.Arange peach slices in unbaked pie crust and por syrup over peaches. Place top crust on pie and bake at 400 for 45 to 50 minutes.
