3 cups sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup water
3 egg whites beaten
1 cup nuts, optional
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar, syrup and water to the hard boiled stage. Pour slowly with constant beating over the beaten egg whites. Continue beating until the candy begins to hold its shape. Add vanilla and turn into butter pan.

Momís divinity was always one of her most requested candies. My favorite divinity is with black walnuts, which Jack hates. Weather conditions make a big difference in whether divinity is sticky, holds up, and is shinny.
