1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup shortening
3 eggs
4 cups flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup of nuts chopped fine

cream first 4 ingredients
add remaining ingredients except nuts and cinnamon,
divide dough in half, roll each half flat
sprinkle with nuts and cinnamon, then roll up as for a jelly roll. chill
slice and Bake @ 350 for about 10 minutes or until lightly brown on edge
